Nvidia shared their opinion on the future development of the automotive industry. Representatives of the company published their opinion on the official Nvidia website . They predict that more and more vehicle companies will use advanced metaverse technology to improve the industry.
In 2023, automotive companies will start embedding metaverse technology into their operations, which will touch on both manufacturing and retail issues, according to Nvidia, a GPU and artificial intelligence developer.
According to the company, car companies have two ways to integrate the technology. The first is to implement the tools of the metaverse, which will allow us to maintain control over the production of vehicles. Such a method can open up new frontiers and offer existing improvements.
In this way, they will be able to make fully digital copies of their real-life factories. This will also help designers, who can better understand how such factories will produce various products and improvements.
Renault are known for having already been able to implement this method of adopting and using Metaverse technologies . The French automaker has become the world's first creator of an industrial metaverse that will help with further production and logistics issues. The analysis showed that with the introduction of such technologies, Renault could save up to $330,000,000.
The second way to implement the technology of the metaverse will involve improving aspects of retail. Companies that use the metaverse will benefit from this shift in the way they do business, Nvidia says.
Car creators will probably be able to transfer all 3D vehicle simulations, full-fledged configurators to a virtual environment and conduct a demonstration with virtual test drives there. In this case, customer focus will be completely on the level.
There are also early adopters in the use of the Metaverse for advanced retailing. Of these representatives, one can safely name Fiat, which conduct advertising campaigns in virtual worlds.
Fiat launched its first Metaverse store on December 3rd. Thus, potential customers got the opportunity to take a virtual tour of one of the available cars. In addition to viewing, users have the opportunity to test the car on a virtual course.
The next company to use the metaverse in the retail sector looks set to be US automaker Ford. The latter has already filed 19 different trademarks and is preparing for a possible launch of the metaverse.
