Renault launched the world's first industrial metaverse

Representatives of the automotive company Renault announced the start of establishing a number of production processes through the launch of the industrial metaverse. The latter will help them automate some processes and greatly facilitate the work that was previously performed only in the real world.

According to them, now with the help of their new metaverse it will be possible to track a lot of production process data and conduct qualitative monitoring. With the help of new technologies, Renault will observe not only the interactions of production lines, but also the chain, which includes almost all deliveries.

Such a move will help the automaker not only automate the process and simplify logistical features, but also save a lot of money. According to preliminary estimates, Renault will be able to save about $330,000,000 by 2025. In addition, experts suggest that the delivery time of cars could be reduced by a significant 60%, as well as reduce the carbon footprint that comes from the production of new cars by as much as 50%. Improvements should also come in the area of guarantee services. Warranty charges can be reduced by up to 60%.

The sites were based on digital copies of real-life factories and production lines that are under the control of the company. In this way, Renault was able to bring their factories into the virtual world, which would really allow them to produce accurate data analysis and realistic factory simulations.

The industrial sites will be located in a metaverse called Groupe Renault. At the moment, the process of analyzing and monitoring the necessary data has already begun there. To date, Renault has already begun implementing its new policy and Groupe Renault is holding billions of data. Given the quality of the process and the shift from manual to automated, the above preliminary insights may well come true. This was told by Jose Vicente de Los Mozos, who holds the position of executive vice president of the industrial group Renault and the head of Iberia.
