Recall that Mads Øland is a co-founder of the Association of Professional Players Counter-Strike, but was elected to the post of general director a few days ago. We learned about this from the CSPPA (Counter-Strike Professional Players Association) press release.

Earlier it became known that Xyp9x from Astralis and EliGE from Team Liquid were chosen as the chairman and vice-chairman of the CS:GO players union. CSPPA also agreed with ESL and DreamHack to jointly draw up a list of rules by which the ESL Pro Tour will schedule. Organizations will also work together to improve the professional level of CS:GO as a sports discipline. This will apply to both professional players and tournament operators.

CSPPA has existed since March 2018. It was founded by renowned presenter SirScoots and the former CEO of the Danish Professional Football Association of Denmark, Mads Øland. The goal of creating the Counter-Strike Professional Players Association is to provide legal assistance to players and ensure comfortable conditions for their cooperation with e-sports clubs and tournament operators.
