CS:GO last month for the first time was able to overtake Dota 2 in the peak number of players. Until this moment, Valve 's MOBA project has always been ahead.
More specifically, in October 2019, the maximum online Dota 2 players reached 739,900+, while in CS:GO the players' peak exceeded the value of 747,900+ people.
The inhabitants of the reddit forum expressed their assumptions, in which they agreed that in this situation, the decline in popularity of Dota 2 influenced more than the arrival of new users in the shooter discipline.
