Complexity appoints messioso as general manager
North American esports organization Complexity has announced the appointment of messioso to the role of general manager of the CS: GO division. The Briton will return to the position of team leader after a short stint at Gfinity.
Having worked in esports since 2008, messioso has proven himself in the largest teams and companies in the industry, most recently overseeing esports operations for London-based company Gfinity, which he took over in March 2021.
His appointment as General Manager at Complexity marks the return of messioso to managing the team, a familiar role for the Briton as he previously held similar positions at both RFRSH and North. In addition, messioso temporarily acted as coach for the Swedish team GODSENT in 2017, before returning to managing operations at BLAST.
This news comes in a difficult period for the team. Complexity recently changed its head coach, acquired es3tag, and also lost k0nfig for six weeks due to an arm injury. The change follows a disappointing streak of results for the Texas-based organization and culminates in a final spot at IEM Cologne 2021.
