M0NESY: "My global goal is, of course, to get into the main NAVI squad"
Ilya 'm0NESY' Osipov, who plays under the Natus Vincere Junior tag, gave an interview for the NAVI Junior YouTube channel, in which he spoke about what he expects in the future.
Osipov said that he wants to enter the top 30 best CS: GO rosters according to HLTV with his teammates. For him, he will also get into the starting lineup of Natus Vincere:
Now my goal is to show myself well at tier-2, tier-3 tournaments, to enter the top 30 HLTV together with the NAVI Junior team. And if we talk about the global ones, this is, of course, getting into the main team of NAVI
The 16-year-old esportsman said he wants to leave a mark on esports history:
I would like to be the kind of player that people who are just starting out would admire. I would like to make my own story.
Ilya is not averse to setting new heights:
I have my own motto, or credo: "Records exist in order to beat them"
Ilya Osipov speculated about the benefits of academies that exist in cybersport organizations:
I believe that playing in the academy is a plus for young players, because if you train every day and do not stand in one place, then you will definitely go to the main team.
Right now, NAVI Junior are taking part in the WePlay league, which is held for the youth teams of various e-sports organizations, WePlay Academy League Season 1. As part of yesterday's gaming day, NAVI Junior fought with Fnatic Rising. The teams showed an equal fight in the first half, which ended with a score of 8-7 in favor of Natus Vincere Junior. M0NESY and his teammates showed good defense, after which the team went on the attack and surprised their rivals with better performance. On the defensive side, Fnatic Rising managed to take only 2 rounds, while NAVI Junior took the victory with vigor and ended the meeting with a result of 16-9.
According to the results of the ended game day, NAVI Junior took the fourth place and are still fighting for direct access to the LAN-finals.

WePlay Academy League Season 1 runs from July 19 to August 29. The total prize pool of the championship is $ 100,000. In the online part, a fund of $ 12,000 will be drawn, and in the LAN event for the four best teams, the organizers will distribute $ 88,000 among the participants. The winner will earn $ 45,000, the vice-champion will receive $ 20,000, the bronze medalist will earn $ 15,000, and the fourth participant in the offline competition will earn $ 8,000.
