Valve has reset the points it earned last year. They reported this on the developer's blog. Despite the above, 24 teams still managed to keep some of their RMRs.

The teams that made their way to the failed Major championship as Legends retained the most points, namely 600 RMR-points. Compositions that had the Contenders status will start collecting rating units not from scratch, but from 300 points. The Challengers teams received the smallest bonus. They will have only 100 points on their account.

Valve also announced how RMR points will be distributed in the upcoming championships.

From now on there will be no Minor championships within the rating season. All invitations will be issued to the teams that perform best during the seasonal tournaments prior to the Major event.
