“Counter-Strike has always been a cornerstone of esports, and CS2 has sparked new energy worldwide,” said Jacob Toft-Andersen, President of 100 Thieves. “Europe is at the center of that community, and by establishing a permanent home there, we’re committing to doing this the right way.”

The announcement follows a Dust2.dk report suggesting that 100 Thieves plan to re-enter the scene with Håvard "rain" Nygaard as a potential first signing. However, the organization’s official press release did not confirm any roster details, stating only that “further details about the new team roster and competitive schedule will be announced in the coming months.”

This marks 100 Thieves’ third foray into Counter-Strike. The organization first entered the scene in 2017 by signing the former Immortals roster, though that project dissolved before the team ever played an official match. The second attempt came in 2019, featuring a primarily Australian lineup led by Justin “jks” Savage, which achieved notable success — including a runner-up finish at IEM Beijing — before the team’s disbandment in late 2020.
