ESEA and FACEIT Introduce New "Entry" Division in Europe
Tournament organizer ESEA and gaming platform FACEIT have announced the introduction of a new competitive division in Europe, starting with Season 53. The newly created Entry division will serve as a bridge between the Open and Intermediate tiers, providing a more structured progression path for teams.
Who Qualifies for the Entry Division?
The Entry division will consist of teams from various sources, including:
- 2 teams from the top Open 1-8 rankings
- 4 teams from Open 9
- 128 teams from Open 10
- Teams that qualify through the Entry Division qualifiers
- Teams that registered for Open in Season 53, where the average rating of their top 5 players exceeds 2,500+ Elo
- Intermediate teams with fewer than 4 wins
This new structure aims to enhance the competitive landscape by ensuring a smoother transition between skill levels.
