Future Unleashed: HAVU Esports Secures Rising Star puuha to Elevate Their CS:GO Dominance
HAVU has successfully finalized the acquisition of 17-year-old talent Luka "puuha" Eklund, as revealed by the Finnish organization on Friday. The former Enhanced player is set to fill the void left by Olli "sLowi" Pitkänen, who parted ways with the team earlier this month.
puuha first made a mark in 2022 with ISO before transitioning to Enhanced, where he participated in the Elisa Open Finland Season 4 Finals and Elisa Esports eSM 2023. Despite maintaining an average rating of 0.90 with his previous team, HAVU demonstrates a strong belief in the young player, expressing their enthusiasm on X/Twitter, stating, "We are thrilled to sign one of the biggest prospects in Finnish CS."
The 17-year-old prodigy is slated to debut for HAVU at the RAJU Assembly Winter Showdown on Saturday, a four-team LAN event boasting a $5,300 prize pool. The tournament lineup includes ENCE Academy, sYnck, and RoundsGG.
This LAN event marks the commencement of a hectic period for the Finnish squad, currently holding the 19th position globally. HAVU has secured invitations to the $100,000 RES Regional Series 1 Europe and the European closed qualifier for ESL Challenger Melbourne. Both online tournaments are scheduled to unfold in the next two weeks.
With puuha's addition, HAVU's roster now features:
- Samu "uli" Leirilaakso (Finland)
- Otto "ottoNd" Sihvo (Finland)
- Jussi "Airax" Airaksinen (Finland)
- Matias "Banjo" Kivistö (Finland)
- Luka "puuha" Eklund (Finland)
Mikko "xartE" Välimaa continues to serve as the team's coach.
