In CS 2, they reduced player waiting times and fixed the bug with surrender voting

During the night of September 7th, Valve released an update for CS 2, addressing various issues and introducing changes to the "Premier" mode. A detailed description of the update is available on the game's official website.

Some of the changes in CS 2 with the update from September 7th include:

  1. The purchase menu now displays the current armor value.
  2. An issue that prevented the smoke grenade from properly detonating has been fixed.
  3. The problem with the Molotov grenade, which now correctly ignites in corners, has been resolved.
  4. An issue where the Molotov grenade would explode immediately after being thrown without reaching its target has been rectified.
  5. Incorrect display of the dropped bomb icon on the radar has been corrected.
  6. In the "Premier" mode, the waiting time for players has been reduced from 5 to 2 minutes.
  7. An issue with surrender voting and tactical timeouts has been addressed.
  8. In the "Premier" mode, teams can now use three tactical timeouts during regular time and one during overtime.
  9. Various bug fixes and user interface adjustments have been made.

Previously, in CS 2, the regular matchmaking process was reinstated, which had been unavailable for four days due to technical server issues. Additionally, developers simplified the weapon selection system and implemented other changes.
