As a result of involvement in arranging match-fixing activities, ESIC imposed a lifetime ban on the owner of the esports teams Akuma, Majesty, and Project X
ESIC has made a decision to impose a lifetime ban on Oleksiy Shyshko, who was the owner of the Akuma, Majesty, and Project X teams in CS:GO. This information was published on the official website of the commission.
The reason for the disqualification was the involvement in match-fixing. According to the statement, during the Time of Bet Cup tournament, Shyshko provided an "unfair advantage" to the Majesty team (comprised of Woro2k, THRONE, nat1ve, j3kie, w0nderful) by allowing the use of unauthorized communication methods, significantly compromising the fairness of the competition. Oleksiy himself acknowledged his wrongdoing and accepted the imposed penalty.
Earlier this week, ESIC took additional actions against all individuals associated with teams connected to Mr. Shyshko's actions. Investigations are ongoing, and legal actions are possible.
