Robban Steps Down from Coaching Position
RobbaN, the highly respected Swedish coach, has made a surprising announcement, revealing his departure from coaching and bringing an end to his second tenure with FaZe Clan, a journey that began in early 2021.
In a statement shared on Twitter, RobbaN expressed his belief that the time has come to embrace new challenges. While acknowledging the difficulty of his decision, he remains optimistic about the future, hinting that his involvement in Counter-Strike will continue. Specifically, he alluded to the anticipation surrounding the release of CS2, promising to share more news soon.
RobbaN has a long history within the Counter-Strike scene, having initially made a name for himself as a player in the early days of Counter-Strike 1.6. Throughout his coaching career, FaZe has been his sole CS:GO home, guiding and managing multiple iterations of their roster since the organization's entry into the game in 2016.
Under RobbaN's guidance, FaZe achieved remarkable success, capturing numerous trophies, including a dominant victory at ESL One New York 2017. Most notably, during the first half of 2022, FaZe secured the PGL Major Antwerp title and embarked on an Intel Grand Slam-winning journey in 2023.
FaZe expressed their gratitude to RobbaN for his leadership, championships, and cherished memories. However, the organization has yet to disclose their future plans or whether a replacement coach has been secured.
The departure of RobbaN marks a significant transition for both the coach and FaZe Clan, leaving fans and the Counter-Strike community eagerly awaiting news of their next steps.
