S1mple's Shocking Revelation: "My Biggest Worry Lies in Communication"
Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev recently provided insights into Natus Vincere's (NAVI) new international project in a vlog from the team's first boot camp. With the addition of Aleksi "Aleksib" Virolainen, Mihai "iM" Ivan, and Justinas "jL" Lekavicius, NAVI is gearing up for their debut in the BLAST Premier Fall Groups next week after a series of changes.
In the vlog, s1mple discussed his worries and hopes for the new lineup, along with sharing his initial impressions of his new teammates. Language barriers emerged as a significant topic, with the Ukrainian superstar admitting that adjusting to English communication will require some time.
"I will feel more comfortable in a few months. Even when I joined Liquid, it was a bit hard for me, and there were people helping me with my English," s1mple expressed. "Maybe we will have some communication issues. I worry only about this."
When asked about helping Valeriy "b1t" Vakhovskiy overcome language barriers, s1mple responded with a laugh, "Only God can help. Of course, I'll help, I'll try to translate very fast. But I think B1ad3's (coach) English is really good, he'll help everyone."
s1mple also shared his thoughts on the timeline for the team to fully function. "I feel we will have a really nice honeymoon period, maybe we will even start really well at the beginning, that's my opinion. But after, we will have some problems, like usually when you start to learn new maps, it's gonna be pretty hard. I feel we need at least three months."
Furthermore, the NAVI superstar expressed his desire for the new lineup to bring an end to the team's year-long title drought, stating that he's "tired of losing in semis."
As NAVI prepares for the upcoming tournament, fans eagerly await the debut of the international lineup and the potential it holds for their competitive success.
