The Ukrainian Esports Federation has made the decision to exclude Monte and B8 from the national team, rendering them ineligible to represent the country in competitions
Anton Markelov, the head of the Ukrainian Esports Federation, has officially announced that the members of Monte and B8 will no longer be able to leave the country with the organization's assistance. The players have been excluded from the national CS:GO team due to their failure to return to Ukraine on time, resulting in their inclusion in the violators' list compiled by the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
Currently, the Ukrainian national CS:GO team is represented by members of the IKLA team, ranked 126th in the HLTV rankings. The esports athletes are currently competing under the national flag in the qualifiers for the IESF World Esports Championship 2023. The prize pool for this tournament is $100,000.
In late May, the Ukrainian Ministry of Youth and Sports published a list of athletes who did not return to the country after the completion of the sporting event. The list included 236 individuals, including players from Monte and B8. They violated their obligations that were taken before leaving the country.
Following the publication of the list, representatives of the Monte team explained the reasons for their players' inclusion in the list. They stated that four of them returned to Ukraine with a delay due to their participation in the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023 tournament, while Viktor "somedieyoung" Orudzhev stayed in Poland due to personal circumstances.
