TSM has postponed the return to CS:GO to the second half of 2023
The North American esports organization TSM has announced the postponement of its return to the CS:GO discipline to the second half of 2023. This was stated by Dominique Kallas, vice-president of the club, referring to the early dates for the start of the qualifying process for BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023. The organization promised to spend time studying the transfer market in order to present the team at the beginning of the second half of the season.
Due to the fact that the qualifiers for the Major start very early, we will not be able to qualify for the World Championship from BLAST. The time between IEM Katowice 2023 and IEM Cologne 2023 is the reshuffle period. That's when TSM will have the opportunity to make their move.
Recall that last fall, the TSM organization announced its intention to return to CS:GO with a new roster. The North American club then planned to introduce the team at the beginning of 2023, but has now decided to abandon the original plans after the announcement of some details of the upcoming BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023. As a result, the club will spend time studying the transfer market and finding suitable players for their project.
Given the management's previous plans, TSM will be based in Europe, where it plans to offer the roster the proper development infrastructure. At the same time, the club intends to assemble a strong team that could fight for high achievements.
The TSM organization was represented in the CS:GO discipline from 2015 to 2017. In particular, the club became famous for its Danish roster, which later became part of Astralis. In two seasons, the North American organization became the winner of PGL CS:GO Championship Series Season 1: Finals, and also reached the semi-finals of Esports Championship Series Season 1 - Finals.
