TSM is looking for a general manager for the future CS:GO roster
The North American esports organization TSM is looking for a general manager for the future CS:GO roster. Information about the vacancy appeared on the Linkedin website. Thus, the club officially confirms its intention to return to the discipline in the near future.
The job description requires at least five years of esports or sports management experience and a high level of understanding of the CS:GO landscape, as well as fluency in English. The publication lists several responsibilities expected of a general manager, such as evaluating future talent, sizing investments in new series/leagues, and controlling unit spending.
In addition, a potential candidate will have to create a strategy for the development of an organization in a discipline, find new talent, draw up a budget and determine the size of investments.
TSM added that fluency in Danish, German, Dutch, Polish, Czech and/or French is an advantage, indicating that the organization is open to attracting talent from different regions.
Recall that last fall, the TSM organization announced its intention to return to CS:GO with a new roster. At that time, the North American club planned to present the team at the beginning of 2023, but later decided to abandon the original plans after the announcement of the details of the upcoming BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023. As a result, the organization took time to study the market and prepare to build a combat-ready roster with great prospects.
The TSM organization was represented in the CS:GO discipline from 2015 to 2017. In particular, the club became famous for its Danish roster, which later became part of Astralis. In two seasons, the North American organization became the winner of PGL CS:GO Championship Series Season 1: Finals, and also reached the semi-finals of Esports Championship Series Season 1 - Finals.
