Rumors: CeRq excluded from Evil Geniuses roster

According to information from three reputable sources at once, namely the portals Dexerto, HLTV and Dust2, the North American eSports organization Evil Geniuses excluded sniper CeRq from the starting lineup ahead of the imminent start of BLAST Premier Spring Groups 2023. It is reported that in the upcoming championship the club will rely on young players from of his White and Black squads, while the 23-year-old Bulgarian sniper will prepare to leave the team.

From the announced lineups of the BLAST Premier Spring Groups 2023 participants, it became clear that Evil Geniuses did not include their sniper in the roster. Instead, the team has registered wiz, viz and jeorgesnorts, all of whom could have a real shot at the championship. At the same time, the position of a sniper is native only to a 21-year-old American who plays for Evil Geniuses Black.

CeRq has been part of the original Evil Geniuses roster since September 2019, when the North American club bought the NRG team. Together with the team, the 23-year-old Bulgarian sniper became the winner of ESL One: New York 2019, StarSeries & i-League CS:GO Season 8, BLAST Premier: Spring 2020 American Finals and ESL One: Cologne 2020 Online - North America.

However, CeRq's performance in recent years has raised big questions, as the sniper could not find his game for a long time and remained the statistically worst member of the team. Such productivity has repeatedly caused controversy regarding the possible departure of the Bulgarian from Evil Geniuses.

It is likely that CeRq will leave Evil Geniuses, as the team has already started testing potential newcomers. However, the reason for this decision is not disclosed and will become clear only with time.

The situation will become clearer closer to the start of BLAST Premier Spring Groups 2023, which, as it became known the day before, will be held from January 19 to 29. By this time, the North American organization will shed light on the future of CeRq within its membership. At the time of publication of the material, the parties did not comment on the rumors.
