Rumors: buster will become the new player of Cloud9
According to the HLTV portal, the North American esports organization Cloud9 has decided on a player who will take a place in the interz starting lineup. It is reported that the fifth player of the team will be buster - the 23-year-old Kazakhstani cybersportsman has not played since May, but is still bound by a contract with the Virtus.pro club.
Currently, the parties have not reached an agreement, but after a series of tests and negotiations, Cloud9 has decided that they will sign a contract with buster and start the 2023 season with him. The club considered several other candidates, but buster made the biggest impression and, according to outside insiders, received a favorable response from HObbit.
buster became famous thanks to his performances for the AVANGAR team, with which he sensationally reached the final of StarLadder Berlin Major 2019, and also won the BLAST Pro Series: Moscow 2019. At the end of 2019, the promising roster was signed by Virtus.pro, for which the 23-year-old Kazakhstan the player performed until May of last year.
Under the new tag, buster managed to win Flashpoint Season 2, DreamHack Open December 2020, cs_summit 7 and ESL Challenger #48, as well as reach the final of the Intel Extreme Masters XV - World Championship. However, last spring the esportsman left the team's starting lineup and put his career on pause. However, the 23-year-old recently announced his imminent return to the stage.
In turn, Cloud9 is preparing to say goodbye to interz, who has been a member of the original Gambit Youngsters five since July 2020. Together with the team, the 22-year-old has won numerous championships, including Intel Extreme Masters XV - World Championship, BLAST Premier: Spring Finals 2021 and Intel Extreme Masters XVII - Dallas. However, now the esportsman is preparing to leave the team to make room for a newcomer.
The next championship for Cloud9 will be Intel Extreme Masters Katowice 2023, which will start at the end of January. Here the team will take part in the Play-In stage, where they will compete for one of eight tickets to the group stage of the competition.
