Bubzkji has no plans to return to the stage in 2023
Danish e-sportsman Bubzkji announced his continued work on local television TV2. According to the former Astralis player, he does not intend to return to the scene in 2023 to continue covering major CS:GO championships along with his editorial board. On his Twitter, Bubzkji announced that he had extended his contract with TV2 for the next year.
I have decided to renew my contract with TV2 for 2023. It was an educational experience that I really enjoyed. Obviously, this means that the career of a professional player is now more distant than ever. I understood this and consciously did not look for the opportunity to return the next year. I will continue to work on coverage of tournaments.
For those not in the know, TV2 is the owner of the rights to the ESL and BLAST championships in Denmark. So we just broadcast CS:GO like other studios, but only in Danish.
Recall that Bubzkji made himself known in 2020, when, together with MAD Lions, he became the winner of Flashpoint Season 1 and reached the semi-finals of ICE Challenge 2020. In the same summer, the 24-year-old Dane joined the Astralis roster, with whom he later managed to win DreamHack Masters Winter 2020: Europe, and take third place in the Intel Extreme Masters XVI - Cologne.
However, already in the last season Bubzkji began to think about his future, in order to eventually leave for Danish television. The esportsman has worked here for the past year, acting as a commentator and analyst at major CS:GO championships.
The transition to a new role took place along with the termination of the contract with the Astralis organization. Now the Dane will continue his work, waiting for the start of the new season.
