gade announced his retirement from CS:GO
Danish esportsman gade has announced his retirement from CS:GO. The 28-year-old player spoke about the next step in his career, but has not yet revealed the cards, limiting himself to only small hints. Perhaps, like many other pro players, the Dane will try his hand at VALORANT.
As 2022 draws to a close, it's time for me to announce my retirement from the Counter-Strike industry. What a ride and journey it has been; memories that I will always cherish and be grateful for. Esports gave me friends for life, brought me together with my love and took me through all the states of emotion. Thanks to everyone who believed and supported me over the years, former teammates, colleagues and rivals. 2023 is the start of my new career in a completely new environment and I am very excited about the future.
gade entered the professional scene in 2015. For seven years, the 28-year-old Dane tried his hand at Team Singularity, OpTic Gaming and North, with whom he became the winner of the Esports European League - Season 1, GG.Bet Ice Challenge 2019 and DreamHack Open Sevilla 2019, and also got into the TOP 3 at DreamHack Open Summer 2018, Europe Minor Championship - London 2018, Esports Championship Series Season 6 - Finals and Esports Championship Series Season 7 - Finals.
gade's last team was BIG, for which he played between July and December 2021. Here, the Dane managed to get into the top three at DreamHack Open November 2021 and V4 Future Sports Festival - Budapest 2021, and also take part in PGL Major Stockholm 2021.
However, after the transfer of faveN, the esportsman was pushed aside to spend the next eight months inactive. Since then, the Dane has not appeared on the server, but managed to part ways with the BIG organization last summer.
