FACEIT creates hub for South America
The FACEIT platform has announced the expansion of the FACEIT Pro League and the launch of a separate hub for South America. As a result, the site organizers will raffle off prizes of $12,500: $10,000 and $2,500 for FPL and FPL Challenger, respectively.
We are very excited to announce that we are officially launching FPL in South America! We are inviting all the top pro players in the region to compete for a $12,500 monthly prize pool in the FPL and FPL Challenger on FACEIT.
Before we jump into the discussion, we would like to use this opportunity to thank all the best players in Brazil and throughout South America who have worked with us to make their dream come true and bring FPL to South America. We are very happy to help the region, with more financial support and help develop new talent.
It is reported that the hub will offer a qualification format open through the invite system on FACEIT and will be available to all players from South America. 80 of the best South American players immediately received an invitation to the FPL, while 40 people became the owners of invites to the FPL Challenger. In the future, the list of FPL Challenger participants will be replenished based on open qualifiers, and the two best players at the end of the month will get a chance to prove themselves in the FPL.
The organizers said that the number of FPL participants will be constantly changing. Individual esports players will be excluded or invited based on their results in national and international tournaments, as well as feedback from other FACEIT Pro League players.
Note that South America becomes the third region to receive a separate hub in the FACEIT Pro League. A similar matchmaking system for professionals and promising young esports players is available for players from Europe and North America.
