mertz is preparing to return to CS:GO
According to an authoritative insider neL, the Danish esportsman mertz is preparing to return to the CS:GO discipline. Recall that the 24-year-old sniper spent the last nine months in VALORANT, where he tried to find himself in Team Heretics.
I was told that after a short stint with VALORANT, the former North and Heroic player will return to where his heart lies. He will join The Prodigies and grind to get back to the top.
mertz was one of the biggest stars of his generation. Between 2015 and 2021, the 24-year-old Dane tried his hand at North, Heroic and Copenhagen Flames. Here the sniper became the winner of the Esports European League - Season 1, DreamHack Open Tours 2018, Games Clash Masters 2018 and TOYOTA Master CS:GO Bangkok 2018, and also got into the TOP-3 following the results of Copenhagen Games 2018, StarSeries & i-League CS:GO Season 5 and DreamHack Open Winter 2018.
However, he spent his last season in CS:GO with the Nordavind team, where he took second place at the Elisa Invitational Spring 2021, but left the roster at the end of 2021 and began to explore options for continuing his career.
As a result, mertz decided to try his hand at VALORANT, where he joined Team Heretics. However, here the Dane clearly did not succeed, because after the failure at VRL 2022 Spain: Rising Stage 1, he left the starting lineup and irrevocably remained in the shadow of the competitive scene.
Interestingly, six months ago, the esportsman said that he was "more motivated than ever" to return to CS:GO and prove his worth. However, nothing has changed since then, but it seems that mertz has decided on his plans for the future and is preparing to become part of The Prodigies.
The Prodigies is a team created by the Prodigy agency, which includes some famous esportsmen. At the same time, team members do not have a ransom amount and they can join another team if an offer is received.
The current CS:GO roster of The Prodigies:
- fNk
- tvs
- SBT
- Straxy
- noleN
- Frøg (coach)
