fnx becomes trainer/streamer for Imperial Esports
The Brazilian esports organization Imperial Esports has announced changes to its CS:GO roster. As a result, the club transferred fnx to the role of head coach and streamer of the team. Now the organization has to announce the name of the fifth player, who, according to rumors, will be chelo.
fnx became part of Imperial Esports in February this year. However, his performance left much to be desired even in the championships that were successful for the Brazilian team. The 32-year-old esportsman spent a little more than half a year with the team, becoming the winner of the OMEN WGR European Challenge 2022, and also getting into the top three at FiReLEAGUE Latin Power Spring 2022 and PGL Major Antwerp 2022: American RMR.
The peak for this roster was PGL Major Antwerp 2022, where Imperial Esports made a sensational shot, almost making it to the championship playoffs. However, the team swam further, having obtained only a few victories in five full-fledged tournaments.
According to rumors, the Brazilian organization has already managed to find a replacement player by buying the chelo contract from MIBR for $200,000. The 24-year-old player has spent the last year and a half with MIBR, winning CBCS Elite League Season 1, ESEA Season 39: Advanced Division - North America, ESL Challenger League Season 40: North America and ESL Pro League Conference Season 16, and making it to TOP-2 at CBCS Finals 2021 and PGL Major Antwerp 2022: American RMR.
At the same time, the esportsman managed to try on the role of the team captain, since in the spring MIBR announced the breakup with WOOD7 and reshuffled duties.
The nearest tournament for the Brazilian team is ESL Challenger at DreamHack Melbourne 2022, which is scheduled for the first days of September. Further, Imperial Esports will prepare for the start of Intel Extreme Masters Rio Major 2022: American RMR, which will be held in October.
The likely roster of Imperial Esports in CS:GO is as follows:
- FalleN
- fer
- chelo
- boltz
- VINI
- fnx (head coach)
