Copenhagen Flames ready to part ways with roster for just €160,000

According to Dust2, the Danish esports organization Copenhagen Flames was ready to part with its CS:GO roster for just €160,000. Journalists cite the words of Daniel Vorborg, a former coach and co-founder of the club, as evidence of such low prices for interested parties.

People can't believe no one bought the $500,000 Copenhagen Flames lineup because it would be too good for the buyer. In fact, our entire line-up cost €160,000, but no one was willing to buy it. Fortunately, now we see how gradually all the players get into good teams.

Back at the end of last year, when the first rumors about the possible sale of the Copenhagen Flames line-up appeared, sources called amounts comparable to €500,000. Even that amount seemed ridiculous, given the transfers of the stars of the world stage. At the same time, only one organization, Complexity Gaming, was called the real buyer, which eventually withdrew from the deal, according to rumors, due to excessively high demands from the players.

Now, Vorborg has indicated a specific amount for which the Danish club was ready to part with their five - € 160,000. In comparison, players like NiKo, dev1ce, m0NESY, coldzera and ropz are rumored to cost 3-5 times more than the entire Copenhagen Flames roster.

Recall that the last composition of Copenhagen Flames was formed in May last year. During this time, the Danish team won several championships, including BLAST Rising 2021, Malta Vibes Knockout Series #4 and PGL Major Antwerp 2022: European RMR B, and also made it to the top three at European Development Championship Season 4, Funspark ULTI 2021: Europe Season 3, Elisa Invitational Fall 2021 and Thunderpick Bitcoin Series 2022.

However, a queue began to form for the team after an impressive performance at PGL Major Stockholm 2021 (9th-11th place), which was reinforced six months later by getting into the TOP-8 at PGL Major Antwerp 2022.

However, from that moment on, the organization decided to close the project in order to profitably sell off its assets at the peak. As a result, the Danish club sold nicoodoz and roeJ to fnatic, and a few weeks later they let Jabbi go to Heroic. In addition, Vorborg himself left the organization in order, according to him, to challenge himself again.

For the time being, Copenhagen Flames is still willing to listen to proposals for HooXi and Zyphon, after which the organization will think about returning to the esports discipline with a new roster.
