During the conversation, the 28-year-old Canadian specialist also spoke about the impact YEKINDAR, which he expects the Latvian will give to the team at the upcoming championship in Germany.

Team Liquid is one of, if not the best, organizations in esports and I'm excited to be reunited with EliGE, nitr0 and NAF just because I've played with them. This is a good opportunity and I hope to prove myself and do my best and put all my effort and time into making my ideas work.

When I was interviewing for a job with Team Liquid, I asked questions about my freedom of action. At least from my point of view, they encourage the coach to be involved in decisions about the composition and the like. I think Team Liquid is an organization that really wants this and that's what I've enjoyed doing in my career.

I think the structure of Team Liquid is that I will work with management and I definitely have more space.

One of the main things that I will bring to Liquid is that I want to create a good team environment where everyone on the team can fully trust each other. I'm not saying that now there is distrust in the line-up, I just want to make the atmosphere inside more friendly. I need to make sure people can criticize each other and constructive criticism will only happen so we can progress.

Recall that at the beginning of the week, the European esports organization Team Liquid announced the appointment of daps to the position of head coach of the CS:GO roster. The 28-year-old Canadian specialist replaced adreN.

I want to go over all the fundamentals again to make sure the team has a solid base and the ability to keep improving. From conversations with the guys, it is clear that they relied a lot on preparing for their opponents, so they did not have enough time to practice their own game. Of course, there are other reasons as well. This whole shox thing... There are reasons why they couldn't play their best and it's out of their control. There are a lot of things we'll be working on and I'm going to focus on the in-game stuff.

In addition, the club managed to add YEKINDAR to its roster. The young Latvian esportsman will help the team at the upcoming championship in Germany.

Since I also just joined the team, I can't talk about the team's plans, but YEKINDAR will be playing for us in Cologne and we're going to make the most of his full potential with a short bootcamp. We have about a week, but as far as details, I don't want to go into any details.

The next championship for the North American team will be Intel Extreme Masters XVII - Cologne, which will take place next month. At the same time, Team Liquid will start their performances immediately from the group stage.
