Official: Team Spirit part ways with degster

The Russian esports organization Team Spirit has officially announced the breakup with degster. It is reported that the reason for the changes in the composition of the team was the difference in vision on the organization of the training process and the future between the club and the cybersportsman himself.

Team Spirit announces that from today the player of our organization degster has been withdrawn from the active CS:GO roster and put up for transfer.

After the major, the management and the coaching staff held talks with Abdul, as a result of which it became obvious that the views of the parties on the organization of the training process and, in general, on the future of the team drastically diverge. As a result, it was decided to immediately transfer degster to the bench.

This is not the first time that a prominent player has left us, but, as before, we were ready for this development of events: the shortlist of candidates for the role of a sniper was formed, and soon we will announce our choice.

We thank Abdul for many unforgettable moments in a dragon t-shirt, he is a great player, whose performances for a year and a half helped our CS:GO roster to be among the best teams in the world. Everyone in Team Spirit wishes him good luck in the future.

According to one of the HLTV admins, the esportsman decided to leave the team due to his unwillingness to live and train in Serbia. In turn, the Russian club left the country and moved its staff to Serbia back in March. According to journalists, Abdul intends to return to Russia to live on a permanent basis. It was this desire that became the "non-game factor" of parting with Team Spirit.

degster joined Team Spirit last January, having moved from the ESPADA camp. For a season and a half, the 20-year-old Russian sniper helped the team win DreamHack Open January 2021: Europe, Winstrike CIS Cup Spring 2021, Pinnacle Cup II and Malta Vibes Knockout Series #6, and also get into the top three at the Intel Extreme Masters XV - World Championship, BLAST Premier: Spring Showdown 2021, StarLadder CIS RMR 2021 and PGL Major Antwerp 2022.

Abdul is a very talented player who during his time playing Spirit proved that he is one of the best not only in our region, but in the whole world. That is why our decision was not so simple. However, we have a specific plan for the development of the project in the CS:GO discipline and we will not neglect it even for the sake of the most talented player. We failed to come to an understanding with Abdul, in connection with which a mutual decision was made about our separation. We understand what kind of player we need and will decide on a replacement in the near future. I thank Abdul for this one and a half years of work in our line-up and wish him good luck on his way.

The nearest championship for the Russian team will be Roobet Cup 2022, which will start in a week and a half. Then Team Spirit will go to Germany to take part in the Intel Extreme Masters XVII - Cologne. By this time, the club must submit the name of the fifth player.

From now on, Team Spirit's CS:GO roster is as follows:

  • chopper.
  • magixx.
  • Patsi.
  • s1ren.
  • hally (coach).
  • degster (inactive).
