NAVI COO: "Decisions [onleavingplayers] are very important and therefore are taken collectively"

Today Mikhail 'Olsior' Zverev interviewed the COO of the Ukrainian esports club Natus Vincere live on his Twitch stream. In it, Aleksey 'xaoc' Kucherov shared his thoughts on doing business going forward, NaVi 's role in Russia's war with Ukraine, decisions related to Boombl4, business policies and much more. We have collected the most interesting moments for you. In this excerpt, Alexei shared the details of the behind-the-scenes games and who makes decisions about the players leaving the club:
These decisions are even more important and they are praised collectively. The thoughts of all representatives of the organization are taken to respect. As we are talking about some specific options, then we did not consider the idea of "let's take a look and see that nothing happened." They often read comments and balked propositions on the kshtalt “take Ukrainians from that other warehouse”. We do not care that Ukrainian graves are simply not picked up in order to back up all the rosters, including them. We try to change the proportions to the greediness of Ukrainian cybersportsmen and focus on them. Tse, for example, academies stand. If you talk about young graves, then you need to spend a lot of time on those schob їx. Navit to take the same B1t, then 1-2 fates passed before him, as we gave him the opportunity to play in one card. Now we are lucky that I have the right talent. As if an unacknowledged gravity once again appears on the professional stage, a cybersportsman can be angry. Tse great moral imperative for engraving. It is simply impossible to come to the basis of that understanding of all strategies, to check all the details and nuances on all maps. The club is risky to spend gravely, like a viroshchuva. At the same time, we are especially focusing on Ukrainian graves in the academy, and they removed the stars of all Russian graves. Now we plan to do more in Ukrainian directly, especially about academic roasters. Tse, obviously, is connected with the current subdivisions and look at this aspect, they were radically reexamined. Perhaps, we will launch the very same story with Valorant, but we also need a better topic. There, at the warehouse, there are only Russians and Belarusians, and I often read comments about those who choose the Valorant roster for me. It’s okay, you can get away, that there are not enough Ukrainian gravitationalists, but if you marvel at the proportions, then it’s not bad to bring Ukrainians to others.
These decisions are very important and therefore are taken collectively. The views of all representatives of the organization are taken into account. If we talk about some specific options, then we did not even consider the idea of “keep silent and pretend that nothing happened”. We often read the comments and saw proposals like “take the Ukrainians into this or that squad”. We believe that there are simply not enough Ukrainian players to fill all the rosters exclusively with them. We are trying to change the proportions in favor of Ukrainian esportsmen and focus on them. This, for example, applies to academies. If we talk about young players, then it takes a lot of time to grow them. Even if we take the same B1t, it took 1-2 years before we gave him the opportunity to play in one map. Now we see that he is really a talent. If an inexperienced player is immediately sent to play on the professional stage, then the cybersportsman may break down. This is a big moral burden for the player. It is simply impossible to come to the base right away and understand all the strategies, take into account all the details and nuances on all maps. The club is at risk of losing the player they have been growing. We are now especially focusing on Ukrainian players in the academy and have removed all Russian players from there. Now we plan to work more in the Ukrainian direction, especially when it comes to academic rosters. This is of course related to current events and views on this aspect have been radically revised. Perhaps we will launch the same story with Valorant, but this is a completely different and complex topic. There are only Russians and Belarusians in the composition, and I very often read comments about whether we are going to change the Valorant roster. Ultimately, it may seem that there are not enough Ukrainian players, but if you look at the proportions, the ratio of Ukrainians to the rest is quite good.
