AZR became a free agent
AZR officially became a free agent, having agreed with EXTREMUM to terminate the contract. The 29-year-old Australian esportsman announced this on his Twitter, adding that he was ready to return to the stage after a short break.
From today, having reached a mutual agreement with EXTREMUM, I am officially a free agent. It's been nice to take a break and work on myself outside of the game, but I still want to compete and play CS at the highest level. My desire to compete is still at a very high level and I am more eager than ever to join the team as a captain to reach new heights.
AZR became known for his achievements with Renegades, with which he became the winner of StarLadder i-League Invitational #2 and Asia Minor Championship - Katowice 2019, and also took third place in StarSeries & i-League CS:GO Season 7 and StarLadder Berlin Major 2019. After such success, the 29-year-old Australian moved to 100 Thieves, where he managed to get into the top three at Intel Extreme Masters XIV - Beijing, DreamHack Masters Spring 2020: North America, ESL Pro League Season 12: North America and Intel Extreme Masters XV - New York Online: North America.
The last team in AZR's career was EXTREMUM, for which he played during the last season. However, after a series of failed results and missing out on PGL Major Stockholm 2021, the Russian organization disbanded the roster. At the same time, AZR remained on a contract with the club, having failed to find a new team before the start of 2022.
