f0rest has no intention of ending his esports career
The Swedish player f0rest, who, along with the Dignitas roster, was put up for transfer, gave an interview to the SportExpressen portal, declaring his intention to continue his esports career in CS:GO. The 33-year-old Swede added that he plans to leave good memories behind.
I will continue my career. The period at Dignitas is not the last thing people will remember about me. I know I'm capable of so much more. The Major is in full swing, so after its completion, you need to evaluate all the options that will appear with a cool head.
Our roster understands that the decision of the organization was dictated by the lack of results, but everyone was a little shocked that they decided to part ways with all the players at once. There was a feeling that some changes were coming, but at the same time it seemed that it would just be a replacement of a few people.
I think a combination of factors has led to the current situation. The beginning of our journey with Xizt and GeT_RiGhT was not ideal. hallzerk was unable to take part in the first major tournament, which also left its mark on the team. In general, there were many changes in two years, which left no time for stable work. We have not been able to find the optimal combination of players.
Recall that f0rest played for Dignitas for the past two years. During this time, the 33-year-old Swedish player became the winner of the Elisa Invitational Spring 2020, BLAST Nordic Masters: Spring 2021 and BLAST Nordic Masters: Fall 2021, and also made it to the top three at Eden Arena: Malta Vibes - Week 6, Funspark ULTI 2021: Europe Season 1, Funspark ULTI 2021: European Playoffs #2 and Pinnacle Cup III.
However, at the beginning of the week, the North American club decided to put the entire squad on the transfer, not ruling out the possibility of a partial restructuring in the future.
Dignitas CS:GO roster looked like this:
- f0rest.
- friberg.
- hallzerk.
- HEAP.
- Lekr0.
- pita (coach).
