NiKo and huNter- extended contracts with G2 Esports
European esports organization G2 Esports has announced an indefinite contract extension for cousins NiKo and huNter-. The star players have reportedly signed a new multi-year deal with the club, which plans to cement them as legends.
huNter- joined G2 Esports in the fall of 2019, having moved from the CR4ZY camp. In turn, NiKo followed his older cousin's lead a year later when he decided to leave FaZe Clan for an ambitious project centered around Balkan players and members of the French scene.
In a season and a half, NiKo and huNter- won two BLAST Premier regular seasons, and also reached the final at Intel Extreme Masters XVI - Cologne, PGL Major Stockholm 2021 and Intel Extreme Masters XVI - Katowice.
G2 Esports is going through a tough time right now. Despite the signing of Aleksib and a young reinforcement in the person of m0NESY, the team failed at ESL Pro League Season 15. Nevertheless, G2 Esports managed to recover and qualified for PGL Major Antwerp 2022, where they will start their journey next Monday, May 9th. In the first round of the competition, the European team will meet with Team Liquid.
