gob b is back as head coach of BIG

The German esports organization BIG has announced the appointment of gob b as the head coach of the CS:GO roster. In this role, the 34-year-old German specialist will replace enkay J, who has been leading the team for the past six months.

A name that needs no introduction, gob b is one of the most prominent German Counter-Strike players of all time. As a founding member, he has been a part of Berlin International Gaming since day one and has led the CS:GO division to many successes. Now he's returning to his Counter-Strike roots, already helping out the team during an amazing run at EU RMR in Bucharest.

gob b spent two and a half seasons as the captain of BIG, after which he took on the role of manager, and after that the head coach of the team. However, after an unsuccessful attempt, the 34-year-old German specialist took a leadership position at the club until he moved to VALORANT in the summer of 2020.

Over the past weeks, I have already had the opportunity to help our CS:GO team, especially in the RMR qualifier for the Major. Even though I helped Tobias “tow b” Gerberhold at the beginning of 2020, becoming a head coach is still for me. something new.

In a new discipline for himself, gob b did not manage to fully master himself, noting himself with victories as part of BIG in the EURAT Valorant Vanquisher Series and Kingdom Calling #5, as well as reaching the final at VCT 2022: EMEA Challengers Promotion.

In turn, enkay J led the German team since November last year. During this time, the specialist helped BIG get into the top three at DreamHack Open November 2021, V4 Future Sports Festival - Budapest 2021, Funspark ULTI 2021 and PGL Major Antwerp 2022: European RMR A.
