RBG Esports left without a CS:GO team

Walco and his teammates have made a collective decision to leave the American esports organization RBG Esports. The main motivator for the departure of the players was the desire for a better life and the search for a club in which they can better fulfill themselves. Until the roster finds a new home, the team will play under the Carpe Diem tag.

RBG Esports have been able to stand out from all their competitors and the CS:GO industry as a whole given its current state. Some esportsmen have been playing under the club tag for two and a half years, which is not so common today.

The departure of gmanchew and pwny from CS:GO to Valorant was not the most pleasant event for RBG Esports, however, the team managed to survive this event with dignity and in the next season ESEA Premier was able to enter the top 8 participants in the tournament. In the 39th season of ESEA Premier North America, it even entered the top 4, and Super League Arena Winter 2022 ended with a victory for the team. Among the most impressive results of the players during the time spent in the ranks of RBG, one can name just the victory at Super League Arena Winter 2022, as well as the first place taken at ESEA Cash Cup North Americas Autumn 2021 #5. The victory in the latter brought the team the biggest prize money of $9,000.

RBG Esports had a great opportunity to break into the top league of CS:GO after the players managed to break into the ESL Pro League Conference Season 15. This European championship was analogous to the qualification stage for ESL Pro League Season 15. In the ESL Conference, by the way, it took participation of 16 teams. Of all 16 possible positions, RBG took exactly 16th place and left the championship with nothing. The top 3 participants of ESL Pro League Conference Season 15 advanced to ESL Pro League Season 15 with a very impressive prize pool of $823,000.

Portal Dust2us managed to establish contact with two representatives of the CS:GO roster, Jadan 'HexT' Postmoy and coach Tommy 'Axed' Ryan. They stated that they really liked the time spent as part of RBG Esports, however, due to the fact that the organization did not provide the team with new contracts to continue cooperation, the team had to leave the location of the esports club. The players intend to find a new organization with which they will not only be able to cooperate, but will also receive more favorable conditions for this.

Michael 'Meswannjr' Swann, co-founder of RBG Esports, also made an official statement to Dust2us, who tried to show the situation from his side. He said the players were in too much of a rush to sign a contract and simply didn't wait for Michael to complete his work on the deal he wanted to give them. According to insider information from the aforementioned portal, Extra Salt is negotiating with RBG Esports about a possible merger of organizations. In addition, Extra Salt are considering a return to the CS:GO realm. At the moment they do not have a roster for this discipline, as the club has not yet signed contracts with a new roster. Earlier, Complexity Gaming bought the CS:GO roster from them.

Carpe Diem made their debut in the updated roster against Orgless at ESL Challenger League Season 40. The team won with a score of 2-1.

The current composition of Carpe Diem:

  • Colby 'Walco' Walsh
  • Jaden "HexT" Postma
  • Jerrick 'wiz' Jiang
  • Connor 'chop' Sullivan
  • Jordon 'jitter' Ruggiero
  • Tommy 'Axed' Ryan (coach)
