BIT retired as a player
BIT announced the end of his playing career and expressed his desire to become a coach. The 31-year-old Brazilian announced this on his Twitter.
Now, after much deliberation, I have taken the liberty of ending my career in search of bigger goals. This does not mean that I will leave CS and yes, I will be open to taking on another role, sharing the experience gained over the years in practice.
In recent years, I have been happy to bring up a good generation in Brazil and win national championships or show success in some international championships. I want to turn the tide and win titles but in a different role because I have the same opportunities as a coach.
BIT started his esports career in 2003. Over the course of 18 years, the 31-year-old Brazilian has changed clubs including MIBR, compLexity Gaming, paiN Gaming, Keyd Stars, Luminosity Gaming, Team One and 100 Thieves. At the same time, he achieved the greatest success with MIBR in 2007 - the team won DreamHack Winter 2007 and got into the TOP-4 at ESWC 2007.
For the last two seasons, BIT has been the captain of the 9z Team, with which he won FiReLEAGUE 2020: Cluster Sur, WESG 2021 Latin America: LatAM South, Alpha Pro League 2021, FiReLEAGUE 2021 and BLAST Rising LATAM 2021.
According to the Brazilian media, BIT is considered as the main candidate for the post of head coach of MIBR. The Brazilian team has already announced the breakup with Apoka, who personally expressed a desire to leave the club. As stated by BIT himself, he intends to find a team as soon as possible capable of fighting for the biggest titles in the international arena.
