Stewie2K became a free agent

The European esports organization Team Liquid has announced the end of the contract with Stewie2K. From now on, the 24-year-old American esportsman is a free agent. According to rumors, the player will join the updated composition of Evil Geniuses, which should be announced in the coming days.

Stewie2K joined Team Liquid at the end of 2018, having moved from the MIBR camp. In three years, the esportsman won many trophies with the club, including Intel Extreme Masters XIV - Sydney, DreamHack Masters Dallas 2019, ESL Pro League Season 9 - Finals, ESL One: Cologne 2019 and Intel Extreme Masters XIV - Chicago, and also won the Intel Grand Slam. In addition, the 24-year-old American helped the team reach the playoffs of Intel Extreme Masters Season XIII - Katowice Major 2019 and StarLadder Berlin Major 2019.

However, a weak 2021 season, as well as internal divisions, pushed the organization to take emergency action. As a result, Team Liquid shook up the roster by sending Stewie2K, Grim and FalleN into inactive. That being said, the team quickly put together a new roster, signing shox, oSee and nitr0. Stewie2K itself is expected to become part of the new Evil Geniuses project. Together with him, RUSH and automatic will join the team.

From now on, the composition of Team Liquid is as follows:

  • EliGE.
  • NAF.
  • oSee.
  • shox.
  • nitr0.
  • adreN (coach).
