The ESL Premiership Regional Esports Series in the UK and Ireland has added League of Legends: Wild Rift as its first mobile esports discipline. In addition, teams from the northern regions will compete with the UK and Ireland for the first time. It is also one of the first organized Wild Rift events for the region.
The championship is set to offer a prize pool of £ 5,000 and will conclude with an online final in June. Note that ESL Premiership also has a sponsorship deal with Intel, which recently introduced the 11th Gen processor lineup.
Like Southeast Asia, Europe was able to roll out its Wild Rift esports infrastructure ahead of North America thanks to earlier access to the game's beta period.
