On Sla2ers says goodbye to VALORANT roster
South Korean esports organization On Slayers has announced that they are parting ways with their VALORANT roster. The reason for this decision was the failure of the club to be among the partners of Riot Games for the Asian League. At the same time, the future of the organization in the discipline remains in limbo.
Hi all. Fans, On Slayers' 2022 journey has come to an end. Unfortunately, On Slayers has not been selected as a partner team for VCT 2023.
On Slayers manager n0ndiscloths spoke about the changes in the organization, as the club's main Twitter account was blocked.
On Slayers formed their first VALORANT roster late last year. Last season, the organization made several changes to the roster, which took second place on the VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: Korea Stage 1 Challengers and VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: East Asia Last Chance Qualifier, and also made the top 6 on the VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: Korea Stage 2 Challengers.
However, the South Korean team did not play in any international championship, nor did they stay away from participation in the franchise program.
The Asian League will be hosted in Seoul with ten selected partners: ZETA DIVISION, T1, Gen.G Esports, DRX, DetonatioN Gaming, Team Secret, Rex Regum Qeon, Paper Rex, Talon Esports and Global Esports.
