Ghost Gaming disbands roster and leaves VALORANT
The North American esports organization Ghost Gaming announced the parting with its roster and leaving the VALORANT discipline. A released statement from the club states that Ghost Gaming has not been selected as a partner organization for the upcoming competitive season. However, the organization intends to support the game through content creators, community interactions, and events.
We at Ghost Gaming love VALORANT and the community that has grown over the years. Since January 2021, Ghost Gaming has maintained an incredibly talented roster and coaching staff that have over time ranked in the North American Top 10, won multiple online tournaments, placed eighth at VCT 2022: North America Stage 2 Challengers, and most recently won Nerd Street Gamers: Summer Championship.
However, as a result of a rigorous application process, Ghost Gaming was not selected as a partner organization for the next competitive season.
As such, Ghost Gaming is leaving the competitive scene in VALORANT for the time being, but will continue to support the community through content creators, community interactions, and events. We would like to thank our former and current players, as well as everyone who has helped us achieve what we have achieved throughout this time.
Ghost Gaming signed their first VALORANT roster in early 2021. During this time, the North American club made several roster changes, winning the Knights Monthly Gauntlet - July, Knights Arena Monthly Gauntlet 2022: March, Knights Gauntlet Circuit Monthly 2022: April and NSG: Summer Championship.
In addition, the team took part in VCT 2022: North America Stage 2 Challengers, where they managed to get into the playoffs and take 7-8th place.
Ghost Gaming joins a growing list of organizations and teams that have left VALORANT after failing to be part of the American League, including Luminosity Gaming, Shopify Rebellion, Complexity Gaming, NYFU (NYXL) and more.
