Riot Games spoke about the rules for conducting VALORANT Champions 2021 in case of detection of coronavirus
Riot Games spoke about the rules for holding VALORANT Champions 2021 in case of detection of coronavirus. The head of the esports direction of VALORANT, Alex François, made an official statement about possible cases of coronavirus infection.
The health and safety of players and staff at VCT Champions is our top priority. As a precautionary measure regarding COVID-19, all participants undergo daily antigen tests as well as PCR tests twice a week. During the mandatory testing, one of the Team Liquid players received a positive PCR test result.
According to the head, the organizers will not change the format of the championship, allowing the player to appear on the server if he feels right. At the same time, during the VALORANT Champions 2021 quarantine conditions will be applied to protect players from infection.
Our policy is that in the event that a player tests positive for COVID-19 but feels well enough to continue participating in the tournament and is ready to play, the team and their opponent will play the match on a local network built under quarantine conditions. The player who tests positive will compete from an isolated room, while his team and the opposing team will play from two adjacent practice rooms. The order of matches on a given day is subject to change.
Recall that recently it became known that Nivera passed a positive test for COVID-19. The player himself feels good and is ready to take part in the championship, which for Team Liquid will start on Thursday, December 2.
