PUBG Update 41.1 Is Live — New Mode, Destructible Maps & Major Changes

PUBG: Battlegrounds has rolled outUpdate 41.1, introducing a new game mode along with several gameplay, map, and weapon changes.

New Mode: Xeno Point

The highlight of the update is Xeno Point, a PvE mode with roguelite elements. In this mode, players face off against alien enemies on an alternate version of the Miramar map, offering a fresh twist on the traditional gameplay experience.

Destructible Environment on Erangel

One of the biggest gameplay changes is the addition of destructible terrain on Erangel. Explosions, grenades, mortars, and even vehicles can now reshape the environment, adding a new layer of strategy to combat.

Weapons and Equipment Updates

The update introduces a hybrid scope with switchable 1x/4x zoom and a new Tilted Grip, designed to improve recoil control. Alongside these additions, multiple balance changes have been applied, with several weapons and attachments reworked.

Blue Chip Tower Improvements

The Blue Chip Tower now allows players to revive teammates, adding more comeback potential during matches. In addition, players can spend enemy chips near the tower to call in special airdrops. While these drops resemble flare gun airdrops, they feature different loot pools and drop rates.

Jammer Pack and New Item

The Jammer Pack has been expanded into three levels, each matching the storage capacity of standard backpacks. Its ability to absorb Blue Zone damage now scales with its level.

A new item, the Emergency Supply Flare, has also been added. It can be found in airdrops, secret rooms, loot trucks, Lab Camps, and supply drops. When used, it calls in a supply crate that lands near the flare’s location.

Possible contents include:

• Always: three types of ammunition
• Around 80% chance to include:

1. Cover items (Emergency Cover Flare, Folded Shield)
2. Gear (All-in-One Repair Kit, medical supplies)

• Additional rewards may appear with a lower probability

Upcoming Changes

Looking ahead, Update 42.1 (June) will remove several underused weapons from the game, including:

• Mosin Nagant
• R45
• DP-28
• PP-19 Bizon
• P1911
• QBU

Overall, Update 41.1 brings a mix of new gameplay systems and balance changes, aiming to refresh the experience while setting the stage for future updates.
