Updated PUBG Continental Series Format Revealed

PUBG Corporation has introduced an updated format for the PUBG Continental Series for Europe. The main changes relate to the unification of the western and eastern regions of Europe into a single bloc. However, the sub-region "Middle East and Africa" will continue to exist.

PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS (PCS) Continental Series 7 is coming soon to Europe and we're excited to bring some exciting format changes to our players and fans. In addition to combining the Western and Eastern European sub-regions, all teams will need to play in at least one qualifying round in order to qualify for the Grand Finals.

The 19 open qualifier winners (12 from Europe, 7 from MEA) will now advance to the PUBG Continental Series 7 Playoffs, which will be divided into three parts: Group Stage, Elimination Stage and Last Chance Stage. They will be joined by PUBG Continental Series 6 winner Team Entropiq, four Wild Card holders, and eight guest teams, BBL Esports, ENCE, FaZe Clan, FUT Esports, HEROIC, NAVI, Northern Lights and Team Liquid.

As part of the group stage, 32 participants will be divided into two equal groups (sixteen in each). Each lobby will play 12 matches, and as a result, the four strongest teams from each group will immediately go to the PUBG Continental Series grand final.

The remaining 24 participants will go to the elimination stage, where they will be divided into three groups (of eight teams each). The teams will fight each other for points in the overall standings. The six teams with the most points will advance to the PUBG Continental Series Grand Finals.

Then the remaining 16 teams will take part in the "Last Chance" stage, consisting of 6 matches played on the same day. The top 2 teams will secure their final ticket to the PUBG Continental Series Grand Finals.

In the grand final, the teams will compete against each other in the SUPER system. Participants will compete for a $250,000 prize pool as well as PGC points. In addition, the winner of PUBG Continental Series 7 will automatically qualify for the PUBG Global Championship 2022.
