T1 updated their League of Legends coaching staff
Recently it became known that DAMWON Gaming decided to use the services of kkOma, which has returned to Korea. He took the place of Daeny and Zefa who left there. Now, Young 'Daeny' Dae-in and Lee 'Zefa' Jae-min will continue their careers at T1. Recall that under the leadership of these mentors, DAMWON Gaming players were able to become champions at the 2020 World Championship, and therefore now have the status of the reigning League of Legends world champion. Thus, T1 was definitely strengthened with the arrival of the aforementioned mentors.
The official announcement from T1 management says that duties will be clearly assigned between Daeny and Zefa. In this duo, Daeny will take on a more status role and will be appointed head coach. In this regard, he will be endowed with the necessary rights to make changes to the LoL roster, make substitutions during the season and directly coordinate the training process. Zefa will be a supporting link in this chain and he will take over the routine work related to strategy development and individual preparation of players.
Recently, there was a rumor that the former pro StarCraft II player Polt should be the mentor of their team. Management clarified this point and announced that Polt will not be the coach but the general manager. Another rumor regarding LS joining the team as an analyst was left unanswered by the club's management.
