kkOma became the coach of DAMWON Gaming
The Korean eSports club announced the changes in the coaching staff. Now, instead of Daeny and Zefa, Kim 'kkOma' Jung Kyun will be mentoring. He will now lead the team all the hardships of the upcoming LCK Spring 2021 season. Daeny and Zefa, who left the team, will in turn coach the T1 squad. Recently, by the way, it became known that the Korean league will now have a franchise system.
The arrival of kkOma in the ranks of DAMWON Gaming looks like a strong strengthening for the latter. At the moment, this trainer is the most awarded among all League of Legends mentors. He is part of T1, which previously played under the SK Telecom T1 tag, and won the LoL World Championship in 2013, 2015 and 2016. In 2019, he left the team and took up coaching. He was a mentor at Vici Gaming and helped them compete in the Chinese LPL.
When Kim 'kkOma' Jong-kyun revealed his plans to return to Korea this fall, many expected to see him again in the ranks of T1. As a result, Kim surprised the audience and joined DAMWON Gaming.
