Riot Games punished the founder of TSM
The developers of League of Legends, Riot Games, have conducted their own investigation into inappropriate behavior towards players.
Andy 'Reginald' Dean has been charged with derogatory behavior and intimidation of TSM players and esports organization staff. Riot Games decided to apply a series of penalties to him in order for him to change his behavior. The results were published on the official website of Riot Games.
TSM will be required to pay a $75,000 fine to the LCS.
It is noteworthy that the maximum limit for such punishments is equal to $25,000, but in the case of Andy 'Reginald' Dean, the amount was revised and increased to $75,000, as his inappropriate behavior lasted for several years. The organization's money will be donated to a charitable foundation that fights bullying and protects mental health.
Now the head of TSM is required to undergo psychological training in sensitivity and management, and Andy Dean will now have a two-year probationary period.
For the correct execution of the decision made, a special person was assigned to TSM, who will monitor the course of actions. His role will be to regularly poll Andy Dean for bullying and intimidation of TSM players and staff.
Reginald was embroiled in a scandal last year. He was accused of inappropriate and extremely ugly behavior with his players and club staff. In addition, Andy Dean was accused of bullying and sexual harassment. Some subordinates testified that Reginald regularly left his employees for processing and brought them to tears. In May, TSM showed the results of their internal investigation, during which Dean's guilt was not proven. Riot Games decided to conduct their own independent investigation in order to get to the bottom of the truth and they managed to do it.
