DAMWON Gaming terminated contract with Malrang
The leadership of the Korean esports organization announced on their Facebook that they had terminated the contract with Kim 'Malrang' Geun-seong by mutual consent. The cybersportsman also wanted changes, and therefore agreed with the management on the early termination of cooperation.
The representatives of DAMWON Gaming wished the player every sporting success and a good continuation of his career as a professional player in League of Legends.
Malrang joined the team on April 19, 2021. Kim became a part of the team immediately after the victory of DAMWON Gaming at LCK Spring 2021, but this did not stop him from helping the team achieve great success at other events that took place within the 2020/2021 season. Over the past 8 months, he missed championships such as the Mid-Season Invitational 2021 and 2021 World Championship, but took part in LCK Summer 2021. There he helped the team to take first place and earned the main prize of $ 172,576 with the team.
Malrang's career started in 2017 under the tag Ever8 Winners. He later performed under tags such as Royal Bandits, Jin Air Green Wings, KT Rolster, and even DAMWON Academy. Winning LCK Summer 2021 was Malrang's biggest and most lucrative career achievement. Other significant achievements include taking 5th place at LCK Spring 2020 ($ 12,179) and 10th place at LCK Spring 2019 ($ 8,765).
The player has not yet talked about where he will continue his career.
