Dying Light 2 will get an improved graphics mode
Lead level designer at Techland, the studio that develops Dying Light 2, said that the game will have two modes that can be played. The first of them implies a very high frame rate, and in the second, due to these very FPS, it will be possible to observe all the delights of ray tracing effects and support for images in 4K. The latter mode will also make objects appear more voluminous due to special effects.
Petr Pavlachik said the following:
For players who prefer high-quality visuals, we have prepared a High-quality mode that will significantly improve the appearance of the environment thanks to ray tracing and volumetric effects. Almost everything looks more realistic in this mode because of the post-processing. Ray tracing itself helps, for example, create physically correct shadows.
For those who appreciate smooth gameplay, we've prepared a performance mode that focuses on high frame rates (60 FPS with VRR technology), which makes the experience of fast-paced gameplay elements like parkour or combat even smoother.
