Unlike the energy efficient Tiger Lake-U processors, the Tiger Lake-H45 chips will come with a standard graphics core. With a discrete graphics card, this will significantly increase performance while maintaining comparable TDP levels.

Tiger Lake-H45 will also feature 20 PCIe Gen4 lanes to maximize GPU and PCI-E 4.0 x4 SSD utilization, as well as 20 additional PCI-E 3.0 lanes for other peripherals. The lineup will also feature integrated graphics based on Xe architecture, Thunderbolt 4, Wi-Fi 6E and a host of new technologies.

As expected, the lineup will be led by the Core i9-11980HK, which will be fully unlocked for overclocking using XTU and tools from various manufacturers. Various laptops based on Tiger Lake-H45 will be accompanied by modern discrete graphics, while high-end models can find additional benefits, be it running at 4K 120Hz or 1080p up to 360Hz.

Tiger Lake-H45 processors will be announced during the week, May 11, and the first models from various manufacturers will appear on the same day.
