In December 2019, 2K Games officially announced the new BioShock title. The development of the game was taken up by a new, formed under the wing of the publishing house, the Cloud Chamber team, but more than two years later, almost nothing is known about the project.

Thankfully, the studio's fresh job openings have helped shed some light on what to expect from the upcoming sequel.

At the moment, Cloud Chamber requires several specialists at once, including an artificial intelligence programmer, an interface designer, a toolbox programmer, a senior world designer, a senior technical designer and a senior screenwriter. The latter, according to the vacancy, will work in the studio's Montreal office and help the team with narrative content for BioShock 4. The studio is also looking for someone who can create compelling open-world stories with a focus on characters.

In addition, the Senior Writer will have to brainstorm the content of the main and secondary missions, as well as help write and implement the core of the story, including dialogues and other elements of the narrative. He will report directly to the lead scriptwriter of the project.

Other interesting details are hidden in the job description of an AI programmer, which says that his work will include developing a "system of urban crowds" and "systemic tribal ecology of sometimes hostile AI."

Recall that BioShock 4 is being developed based on the Unreal Engine 4. However, there is no approximate release date for the game.
