Rumor: Microsoft plans to acquire Techland studio
Microsoft is planning or has already initiated negotiations with the Polish studio Techland. A possible deal between the corporation and the authors of games such as Dying Light, Dead Island and Call of Juarez was announced by an insider Shpeshal Ed.
It is expected that part of the Techland acquisition agreement will be the temporary exclusivity of the upcoming Dying Light 2 on Xbox and PC. Note that recently, images appeared on the network with the possible composition of the collector's edition of the game - they also indicated the version for the PlayStation 4.
At the moment, Techland studio is busy creating Dying Light 2, which still hasn't got an exact release date. Recall that two weeks ago, the developers denied rumors about the release of the game in May 2021.
Earlier, insiders announced the intention of Microsoft to acquire the studio Paradox Interactive. In addition, Microsoft is close to closing the deal to take over Bethesda's parent ZeniMax Media. Recall that in September last year, the head of Microsoft Satya Nadella said that the corporation will continue to look closely at game studios.
