Although the PlayStation 5 has long been sold in China, they were all imported devices. Official sales in China will not begin until the second quarter of 2021.
The distribution plans were shared by Tatsuo Eguchi, the president of Sony's Shanghai office. However, Sony received a license to sell consoles in China back in December last year.
